Fractions and how they are related to percents, decimals,etc

Hi,

I need to know how a fraction is related to: a ratio, a percent, and division.


For instance a fraction is related to a decimal because they are both are part of a whole. A decimal can represent a fraction. A decimal is always out of 100, thus when converting the fraction 1/5 into a decimal you would first determine how many times 5 goes into 100. You would end up with 5 groups of 20, and since you want 1 out of 5 the decimal will be .20.
