I am writing my senior capstone paper on Fractal Construction and Dimension. I know for dimension we use the Hausdorff dimension, but my teacher presented a question to me today that i cannot seem to figure out. WHY is Hausdorff Dimension the important dimension we use rather than say, the box counting dimension. If anyone has any insight to the answer of this question i would greatly appreciate it.
