Forum Name Change

It's not as if we drown in traffic, so what? I find it harder that all I have learned about tutoring so far seems to be ineffective. That's partly because of response times here, which make it difficult to establish dialogues, but more than that, because I have no idea what their goals are. The potpourri of questions doesn't allow conclusions. It's a bit like training a universal student. However, universal studies are impossible nowadays and out of time for 200 years. Also, theology, legal science, and philosophy are missing: the classical fields of study in the 17th century. This means in return that I'm unable to guide them on their path to achieve their goals and being left with merely helping on single questions instead of providing a path. That's a little bit frustrating but I'm uncertain whether this is in fact a problem or just my feeling of uncomforted by a situation I have never been in before. That's basically my dilemma: is it me or is it them? I mean, stripping all personal feelings, inconveniences, and lack of patterns leaves us with a curious person, and that is something I associate with something positive rather than something negative.

I made my personal decision that those questions were none of my business due to lack of information. If someone has questions throughout the entirety of mathematics, then be it so. I cannot see why since even specialists in one field are laymen in another nowadays, but that is a question I do not have to answer. At least it is entertaining to be confronted with so many different fields.

I believe helping with specific questions is exactly the purpose of this forum. The forum is by no means a substitute for a good teacher or even a good tutor, which does not mean it cannot be helpful.

Sure, but that doesn't address my motivation to participate. It's simply more satisfactory to provide sustainable help rather than solving riddles. However, this is again something on my side not on theirs. E.g. SE is great at solving tough problems but absolutely miserable at guiding people. I think the response time is by far the bigger obstacle to being a good tutor here than whatever the official purpose of these forums is. And as the bad example of SE shows, good tutorial platforms are hard to find. I just wanted to say that we shouldn't complain if someone's personal goals, whatever they are, do not match the projections of our expectations.

@mario99 = @logistic_guy.
It's odd that he created a new account, replied to his own threads and pretending he doesn't "know" calculus. 🤷‍♂️
wOW. You blew my undercover😱And I don't have to pretend that I am someone else anymore. It is a big relief😚
@BigBeachBanana, I have always known that you were one of the smartest people in here and you proved it.

I had always some doubts that professor Dave and professor Dan knew that I was mario99 and they continued to ignore it because it was not really a big deal.

I know that some of you will say that I behaved like a psycho, but the main purpose of posting tons of questions in different fields was just for learning purposes. All the questions that I have posted from finding the domain to the highest difficulty level I did not have their answer in advance, so I posted them and then started to answerer them with you from scratch by your help and by looking up. And the abstract algebra ones were the most difficult to understand and I thank professor fresh_42 a lot for his patience and instructive teaching. It was not a waste of time as I have learnt many new things from you.

You can think of it in this way: I have a question in mind, it does not matter it is very easy or it is very difficult, I just want to share and solve it with others instead of solving it alone on paper. It also helps to not forget the latex codes.

It looks like I wasted a lot of the professors' time. I am very sorry if I did that
☹️, but in fact, I don't feel like I did because even the simple geometrical problems that I posted about the triangles and circles, for example, forced me to read more about their theorems which gave me a lot of beautiful and new methods, I have never understood even after graduation. So, I thank professor Dave a lot for his patience and I tell him that it was never a waste of time.

I started to post my first questions in MHF site when I was in the first year, first semester at university. And there I met professor Dan. I was a dumb student in that time because I had no idea about mathematics and physics. And now I am an engineer who is very good in mathematics and physics. So without Dan and how he was rigorous, I would not achieve what I achieved. It looks like I got limited time in that forum before I get kicked, but Dan's words remained in my mind and were the backbone till graduation. So thank you professor Dan for every pass by you did in all of my posts.

I would like also to thank
professor Khan
professor pka
professor lookagain
professor The Highlander
professor BigBeachBanana
professor lex
professor tkhunny
professor blamocur
professor stapel
professor Steven
professor lev888
professor Cubist
professor Harry_the_cat
the funny Agent Smith
and other instructors who I forget their name
let me also add these two names as I remember them as the last ones
thank you Aion and BeansNRice

I admit that all of you in some point provided a help that I did not know before. So thank you a lot.

I lied about being weak in English and about I am a mechanical, chemical engineer and about I am an artist. I am not. I did that for undercover purposes, but it appeared I failed🥺I am an engineer in a field that I prefer to keep it unknown.

To post a question from one account and to answer it from a different account sounds an crazy idea at the beginning, but once you try it, you will discover that it helps a lot in increasing the learning process. Try it😉

One of the main reasons that I posted a lot of questions is that to make the forum alive. It looked so dead in the last three months. I did my best to make it so messy.

I know that I have violated the rules of the forum and I deserve a big block. Would that stop me from posting more questions in the future? My answer is: Of course it would not stop me and I will keep posting till I get fully blocked (permanent block). After that I promise that I will not create a new account to annoy anyone anymore.

Agree. Also, I differentiate between riddles and useful problems. During my self studies, I would often get stuck for days and weeks on some proofs or problems in a book; on such occasions, even a delayed response could help me a lot. As for this forum, people do occasionally post "riddles", i.e. difficult math problems, like the ones on math olympiads. I do my best to ignore them because IMHO they don't really help much in terms of understanding math, which is my goal here.

“Nobody goes there, it's too crowded” is a famous quote by Yogi Berra,

Keeping that quote in mind, if I were a passing student with a question looking at Free Math Help, I would be
skipping the forum in the "last three months" because you monopolized the forum with your questions.
The very presence of your questions covering the page of "New Posts" was a non-incentive to use the forum,
in my opinion.

What say you regarding that, veteran helpers of Free Math Help?

I'd expect helpers to be more discouraged than students. Also, there is a useful "Ignore" button in the profile pop-up.

It's not as if we drown in traffic, so what?

I choose not to engage with known scammers. It's a conscious decision
to not be a doormat. My time and efforts are better directed elsewhere.
I hope to inform others so they can avoid the scammers, too.
If you have spent so much time and effort on this scammer's posts, I might
try to say you are rationalizing it, or being an apologist for it.

Edit: I just sent a message to Dr. Peterson hoping that he will not continue
engaging the scammer who has been posing as not knowing certain
mathematics subjects/topics and posing as not being fluent in English,
just to name a couple of major issues.

Well, English isn't my native language either, so fluent is a relative term for me. I don't know what I should take from that restriction. But even without being fluent, I have to say that your remark is insulting: doormat, apologist. It's definitely not a welcome message. Maybe I should reconsider my participation.

If you have spent so much time and effort on
offending me, then it might be better to leave since I am certainly not your doormat.

And there is still the ignore function @blamocur has mentioned!
