Hi,

I am racking my braing trying to figure out how to show how somenes score ranks compared to others that have played a quiz type game.

The quiz asks a question and the user picks the answer. It is also timed. So i need to not only weigh in the number of correct answers but also the time it took them to finish.

after they have finished the quiz I would like to display a percentage of where the rank compared to everyone else who has taken the quiz.

For example i have 12 people have taken the quiz and there following Score & Time's are the following (quiz lenght is 10 questions, time is in seconds)

10, 43
6, 53
8,33
5,26
8, 49
9, 65
7, 63
8, 59
9, 22
9,36
8,29

The 12th person plays and receives a 5, 50 . A message would display after a calculation "You ranked in the 50% among others who have played this game"

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When reading your question I can determine that answering all questions correctly would be top ranked. Then nine questions correct would be second ranked and so forth.

The question I have is what is the significance of the time? Does the time required to complete the quiz contribute to the ranking?

Hope this helps

It depends on your priority.

Suppose

somebody answered 9 questions in 18 seconds (2 seconds/question)

and

another answered 10 questions in 22 seconds(2.2 seconds/question - faster than above, but less quetions answered)

Whom would you like to have better score?

You mean: slower than above, but more questions answered?
Plus you forgot an "s" in "quetions"...
OK...not the corner this time; instead you have to watch a hockey game!

hockey game!!!

This is summertime ... arn't hockey-players all tucked up in your caves ??!!
