I just want to know if someone could steer me in the right direction with this table:

Using your formula for the length of the rectangle and the area formula for a rectangle, fill in the missing informtion in the following table:

I have a table it gives the Width as 1, I need to find the Length, the table gives me the Perimeter, I need to find the Area, and the table is hard for me to set up on here.
Width = 1, Length? , Perimeter = 48,, Area ? , I just need to know how to set it up or work it out, because I have 12 more like this one.
Thanks

P = 2(L + W)
P/2 = L + W
P/2 - W = L

A = LW

Okay, how do I find the length, and the area when I have the width, and the Perimeter already?

okay so let's see if I ahve it here goes:
P = 2(L + W)
P = 48 / 2 = L + W
P = 24 - 1 = 23 so
L = 23 , and W = 23

perimeter = 2*length + 2*width
So,

perimeter - 2*length = 2*width
(perimeter - 2*length) / 2 = width

Or...
perimeter - 2*width = 2*length
(perimeter - 2*width) / 2 = length

Now, if you're given either the length OR the width, and the perimeter, you should be able to find the "other" dimension....if you're given the length and the perimeter, you can find the width. If you're given the width and the perimeter, you should be able to find the length.

And, Area = length * width...

Now, can you take it from here?

If you're still having difficulty, please repost, showing us ALL of the work you've done to try to solve this problem.

Thank You, I understand it now.
