Forgot how to use logs: (1+0.25x) ^1.5=27....what is X?

DO NOT post your question as "subject".

(1 + 0.25x) ^1.5 = 27
1 + x/4 = 27^(1/1.5)
x/4 = 9 - 1
x/4 = 8
x = 32

or:
a = 1 + .25x
a^(3/2) = 27
a = 27^(2/3)
a = 9
1 + x/4 = 9 : ok?
