While selecting variables through backward elimination method, an analyst calculated SSx1x1=225.0,
r12=-0.8, SSE=144 and SSyy=720 and least squares prediction equation ? =2.0 + 1.5x1 + 5.0x2 for
variables x1 and x2 from a sample of 19 observations. She chose ?=0.05 to make decision about the
variables currently in the fit. These statistics support that the fitted model with variables x1 and x2 will
i. be trustworthy ii. terminate method iii. give R2 = 80% iv. be all of them
I have no idea what to do or where to start. Please help me with this! I kind of need the answer pretty quickly too.
