An 82 kg man drops from rest on a driving board 3.0 m above the surface of the water and comes to rest 0.55 s after reaching the water.What is the net force on the diver as he is brought to rest?

This is what I did:
F=?
m=82 kg
T(delta T)=0.55 s
h=3.0 m

I'm not sure how to set it up.
I plugged it in for the equation 1/2mv^2 and I got something like 245.7...but I don't have velocity. I

First you would need find the momentum of the man just before hitting the water using conservation of energy equation.

next you need to use

force*time = change in momentum

to find the net force on the man inside water (assuming the force remains constant through 0.55 s)

I'm not sure how to set it up.
