First step in graphing y=3sin(2(x+pi/2))?

I am not sure whether to distribute the 2 or not to (x+pi/2). This is because I think the pi/2 acts as a horizontal shift? So would I distribute and work from there or just view 2 as the 'b'?
 
Never do that. You want that nice, clean 'x' in there.
