I do not know how to find the x-intercepts for this problem. can anyone help me out?

y=x^2-4x

Re: x-intercepts

To find x-intercepts, set y equal to zero, and solve.

To find y-intercepts, set x equal to zero, and solve.

so 0=x^2-4x
then factor?
Yes. :D

(x-2)(x-2)
No. :shock:

Try the factorization again, remembering the "equals zero". Then set the (corrected) factors equal to zero, and solve. :idea:

(x-2)(x-2)

No
That equals to

\(\displaystyle (x-2)\cdot\ (x-2) = x^2 - 4x + 4\)
