Finding velocity

Alan runs 15 miles every day. he runs uphill for 45 mins and runs downhill over the same route for 30 mins. determine his uphill and down hlil velocities.


i am using the formula d=rt
i just plug in the numbers
my velocity uphill, i got .33miles
my velocity downhil, i got .5miles

is this right?

\(\displaystyle \text{He runs downhill at }d\text{ mph for }\frac{1}{2}\text{ hours and covers 7.5 miles.}\)
. . \(\displaystyle \frac{1}{2}d\:=\:7.5\quad\Rightarrow\quad d \:=\:15\text{ mph}\)
