I couldn't figure which type of math this might be since it's been so long so I have a problem that I understand and just can't classify. I feel like I've solved this sort of thing before in early math or maybe calculus/geometry.

Problem:
I have 3 signal paths. I want to measure the resistance in each path but only can do so when connected to each other (each can be either positive or return paths in the MUX).
I can plug A into B and get X.
I can plug A into C and get Y.
I can plug B into C and get Z.
What is the formula to find A, B, and C if I know X, Y, and Z?

Also, what type of math would this be? At least to help me classify it better and maybe move it to the proper forum page. This sort of problem occurs when trying to find attenuation (loss) in a signal path so we can calibrate out path loss in a measurement.

thanks!
