Is this how I find a unit price?

What is the unit price of a 12 ounce bag of coffee beans that costs $5.76

0.48 cents x 12 = $5.76

Huh?
You have to count the coffee grains, then divide 5.76 by number of grains

Seriously, .48 is correct IF unit price means per ounce.

I'm pretty sure that ''unit price" refers to "per ounce" and not "per grain." (Just look at what units are given!) Coffee bags are packed by machine according to weight, not by counting the beans in the bag. And if bags don't all have the same number of beans, they don't all have the same unit (bean) price... which doesn't make sense from a company's point of view.

If you have $5.76 for a 12 oz. bag of coffee, the unit price (price per oz.) is:

5.76/12 = 0.48...... 48 cents/oz.
