How do i solve the following initial value problem and find a particular solution?

sin y dx + (2y + xcosy) dy = 0 y(0)= pie

y" + 3y' + 2y = 0 y(0) = 1; y' (0) = 2

Thanks for any help.

You are in a DE class and spell \(\displaystyle {\pi}\) as 'pie'?.

Come on, you can't blame me for ribbing you a little

y" + 3y' + 2y = 0 y(0) = 1; y' (0) = 2 <<<< This is a homogeneous ODE thus does not have a "non-trivial" particular solution

Thanks for any help.
