so fair warning, this is not my assignment but rather my friend's (i am in precalc, but loved geometry, so i offered to help her). I have been scouring the internet, and watched a few khan academy videos regarding measures of arcs. The general theme that i have picked up on from khan was that the angle measure = arc measure. (i can't use the other formulas because her problem does not provide circumference, radius, or diameter).
We thought the answer would be 94º because that is the corresponding angle measure, but that is not a listed answer. Also, if the opposite side has an arc measure of 80º, wouldn't the angle measure be 80º too (which goes against the theorem that says vertical angles are congruent)? Are we missing something silly? Or did the teacher not provide the correct answer?
