A car travels from town A to town B at a constant speed. If it increases its speed by 20%, it can arrive one hour ahead of schedule. If it increases its speed by 25% after travelling the first 120 km at the usual speed, it can arrive 36 minutes ahead of schedule. Find the distance between town A and B.

If town B is Tipperary, then it's a long way!

C'mon buddy, give it a shot.

Start with trip @ 1.2v
speed * time = distance
1.2v * (h-1) = vh
Solve for h

Continue using v and 1.25v trip.
Only 3 hrs. gone by since you gave this hint - and you want me to try now!!

Why not...nothing else to do in the corner...
You are suppose to sit still while in the corner. You are a true mathematician if you do math while in the corner. Very impressive. (Darn, there I go again saying nice things about Denis)

NO! I was referring to Subhotosh being in the corner...
It was an obvious mistake since it is almost always you in the corner. No doubt that Subhotosh got sent to the corner because he was playing with you and did something wrong.
