Find an equation for the family of lines that pass through the intersection of 5x -3y 11 = 0 and 2x -9y +7 = 0

I know that i need to use the formula y = mx + b. and i also know that in order to come up with an equation that will give me a family of lines that also pass through the same y - intercept as the 2 lines above that my b value needs to stay constant and that my slope can change. I just dont know how to find that b value. Please help

Is there a typo in the first equation, between the "3y" and the "11"?

Why do you expect the two listed lines to intersect at their y-intercepts? The y-intercepts don't appear to be the same, is why I ask.

Thank you.

Eliz.
