Hello. I need help with finding the vertical asymptotes for this function. My teacher has given me the wrong steps to do. So I'm very confused. Please help me thank you.

How many vertical asymptotes exist for the function f(x)=(1)/(2 sin^2 x- 2sin x-1) in the open interval 0 <x<2?

Re: Ap calculus

The wertical asymptotes occur when the denominator = 0, hence

2sin²(x)-2sin(x)-1=0., sin(x) = (1-?3)/2, Ergo x ? 201.47° and x ? 338.53°.

Domain: 0< x < 2?, hence there are two vertical asymptotes.

Easier way: Just graph the function and you'll see.
