Hi, was hoping someone could shed some light?

Q. C is the point (-1, 3) and D is point (4, 1). Draw the line CD, and use your sketch to choose the option corresponding to the equation of the line through C and D.

Options:

A. 2y = 13 - 5x
B. 5y = -2x - 2
C. 5y = 8 - 2x
D. 5y = 13 - 2x
E. 5y = 17 - 2x
F. 13y = - 5x

I get none of the above. Please help. Thank you!

Yours,

What do you get, and how do you get it?

I think i've got it, is it right?

y=-2/5x + 2.6

5y = -2x + (2.6x5)

5y = -2x + 13

5y = 13 - 2x

Answer 5y = 13 - 2x

tkhunny you have been a star for helping me out with my questions.

It looks like you just pulled the equation out of the air. Actually, I'm quite curious why you ended up with "2.6". Share?
