Find the equation of the line passing through the points (1,2) and (8.-3). Give instructions using the TI89 calculator
 
Plug the points into the slope formula to find the slope.

Then pick one of the points (your choice) and plug the slope that you just found, along with the point, into whichever line equation you like.

For specific instructions regarding your calculator, please review your owners manual.
