im not sure about how to find the domain of this problem

f(w) = (22000/w) + (45/2)w^2

Right with a common denominator.

A domain is the acceptable values you are allowed to put into the expression.

\(\displaystyle \frac{45w^{3}+44000}{2w}\)

Now, the domain is all reals except for.....what?.

Even without re-writing it, the 22000/x gives it away.

Remember, we can never divide by what?.

so the domain is all real except for 0
