Y=[(3-x[sup:2tuaigha]8[/sup:2tuaigha])/(x[sup:2tuaigha]3[/sup:2tuaigha])][sup:2tuaigha]3[/sup:2tuaigha]

i cant seem to get the derivative, i know the answer is 3(x[sup:2tuaigha]8[/sup:2tuaigha]-3)[sup:2tuaigha]2[/sup:2tuaigha](5x[sup:2tuaigha]8[/sup:2tuaigha]+1)/x[sup:2tuaigha]10[/sup:2tuaigha]

but i cant find the derivativeof the orgional problem

When I do this problem with a computer algebra system I get
\(\displaystyle D_x \left( {\frac{{3 - x^8 }}{{x^3 }}} \right)^3 = -3\left( {\frac{{x^8 -3 }}{{x^3 }}} \right)^2 \left( {\frac{{ 5x^8 + 9}}{{x^4 }}} \right)\)

You see a +9 and not +1.

ok, thats the answer but i am looking for the next step in the equation.

ex:(7x[sup:2w9rcm9p]2[/sup:2w9rcm9p]-4)[sup:2w9rcm9p]3[/sup:2w9rcm9p]/(5x[sup:2w9rcm9p]2[/sup:2w9rcm9p] + 8)

=(5x[sup:2w9rcm9p]2[/sup:2w9rcm9p]+8)(3)(7x[sup:2w9rcm9p]2[/sup:2w9rcm9p]-4)[sup:2w9rcm9p]2[/sup:2w9rcm9p](14x)-(7x[sup:2w9rcm9p]2[/sup:2w9rcm9p]-4)[sup:2w9rcm9p]3[/sup:2w9rcm9p](10x)/(5x[sup:2w9rcm9p]2[/sup:2w9rcm9p]+8)[sup:2w9rcm9p]2[/sup:2w9rcm9p]

Go to this website http://www.wolframalpha.com/
In the input window, type in this exact phrase: derivative of [7x^2-4]^3/[5x^2+8]^2.
(you can copy & paste)
Click the equals bar at the end if the input window.
Be sure you click ‘show steps’ to see the solution.
