Please help me solve the following:
Find the average rate of change for the function over the given interval.
y= (2x)^(1/2) between x=2 and x=8
Don't I use the difference quotient f(x+h)-f(x)/h? I plugged the problem into the formula.
y= (2(x+h))(1/2) - (2x)(1/2) / h
How do I work it from here?
Thank you!
