the answer must in real numbers..

this question have been haunting me since this March when i got this question in a selection test
i need the answers so much.. even the teachers in my school can't figure it out..

You can find x in terms of y, or you can find y in terms of x, but it is not possible to find "the solution point (x, y)", because there are infinitely-many points on this curve.

...since this March...even the teachers in my school can't figure it out.

In all of those months, not a single instructor could figure out that this was a conic? Really? :shock:
