z=(y^4+y^2)^(sqrt(x)/(2x+1)). What is the range of the function if the expression is a real number and x and y are integers?

I understand that x has to be greater than or equal to zero because the square root can not be negative. Also, it seems that y is positive or equal to zero.
So would the range be z is greater than or equal to zero.

Is this correct?

Re: Need help with advanced algebra problem

z is greater than or equal to zero.

That is correct, though you also said y is positive or zero (not correct). Y can be negative. Note that x and y cannot be zero at the same time; 0^0 is not defined.
