find the points on the curve y = x/(x+1) where the tangent is parallel to x – y = 2

i really dont understand this question. can someon just explain the steps to me?
 
\(\displaystyle \L\\y=\frac{x}{x+1}\)..........[1]

\(\displaystyle \L\\y=x-2\)..........[2]

See what the slope of [2] is?.

Differentiate [1], set it equal to the slope of [2] and solve for x. You should have 2 answers.
