find length of string needed to wrap around wheel w/ r = 3

I have a problem that says:

Find the length of string needed to wrap around a wheel with a radius of 3 feet.

I was thinking that i had to set 3ft/ 1 and multiply it by 180/pi. Does anyone know if that is correct...? If not, what should I do?

I have no idea what you're doing with "(3 feet)/1", or why you're dividing 180 by pi...?

Just plug the given radius into the "circumference" formula you've memorized, and compute the answer.
