Since inverse functions switch the input and output, change y and x:

Since inverse functions switch the input and output, change y and x:
y = f?1(x) = (x ? 2)/7

You should always check your answer - utilizing

\(\displaystyle f[f^{-1}(x)] \, = \, x\)
