The x-intercept is the point at which the graph of the equation crosses the x-axis. The value of y at that point is zero. So to find the x-intercept of a given equation, set y=0 and solve for x. You should get the x value of the line at the point it crosses the x-axis. I'll let you figure out what to do to get the y-intercept.
