How do I find dy for:
y = X?7X+3

Can you please tell me if the answer would be : = (21X+6)/(2?(7X+3)) dx Or (21X-6)/(2?(7X+3)) dx
Please explain how. Thank you

How do I find dy for:

Is your problem:

y = X * ?(7X+3)

If it is - then use parenthesis to show proper grouping.

Here you have two functions:

f[sub:1e6x8tt2]1[/sub:1e6x8tt2](x) = x

and

f[sub:1e6x8tt2]2[/sub:1e6x8tt2](x) = ?(7x+3)

multiplied with each other. When you want to differentiate product of two functions - use Product Rule!!
