Joe wants to use 200 feet of fencing material to make a square corral. What will be the dimensions of his corral?

50 x 4 = 200
I figured "4" because of it's four sides.

I that how I would fiding the answer?? Please help!

Hint: Given the length and the width, how does one find the area?

Do you know how to find the area of a rectangle or square?
If you do, you're set. You just need to remember that a square is comprised of four equal sides, meaning that length is equal to width.

area=l*w
l=w

Satisfy those conditions and you're in.

Let's try to keep things simple here.

It says the corral is to be SQUARE.....so all four sides must be equal.

You have 200 feet of fence to use.

If you need four sides, all eaual, out of 200 feet of fence, wouldn't each side of the corral be 200/4 or 50 feet?

To find the area of a square do I multiply the base times itself? 50x50? I'm confused
