i need some help in factorizing, i can do it but i need a jump start wether to us h.c.f. or DOTS. y2-z2=

So you're needing to factor polynomials, or at least quadratics...? The example you posted has no common factor, so trying to find the greatest/highest common factor would not be very useful. You would instead need to use the difference-of-squares formula you memorized.

I have no idea what "DOTS" might mean. Sorry.

I assume DOTS means "difference of two squares", and that is the situation here.
