I don't know how to start this.

18(x+8)^(1/2)+11(x+8)^(3/2)+(x+8)^(5/2).

18(x+8)^(1/2)+11(x+8)^(3/2)+(x+8)^(5/2).

substitute (x+8)[sup:2l9jcevv]1/2[/sup:2l9jcevv] = u

then you have

18 u + 11u[sup:2l9jcevv]3[/sup:2l9jcevv] + u[sup:2l9jcevv]5[/sup:2l9jcevv] = u(18 + 11 u[sup:2l9jcevv]2[/sup:2l9jcevv] + u[sup:2l9jcevv]4[/sup:2l9jcevv])

Now substitute again

v = u[sup:2l9jcevv]2[/sup:2l9jcevv]

u(18 + 11 u[sup:2l9jcevv]2[/sup:2l9jcevv] + u[sup:2l9jcevv]4[/sup:2l9jcevv]) = v[sup:2l9jcevv]1/2[/sup:2l9jcevv](18 + 11v + v[sup:2l9jcevv]2[/sup:2l9jcevv]) = v[sup:2l9jcevv]1/2[/sup:2l9jcevv](v+9)(v+2)

Now substitute back.....

(ofcourse there are different and probably shorter ways)
