Re-write the first equation as
(xy)² - (9z)²
Do you know how to factor a² - b²?

For the second equation, what are the comm on factors of each term 2x³ and 8x? Hint: After factoring that common factor out you will be left with another equation of the form a² - b² after working with it a little bit.

A good place to start might be in taking common factors out front. What, in (ii) above, is the common factor in 2x^3 and 8x? Then, have you learned about the formula for the difference of squares?
