and x^8+1 factor and simplify?

need any help I can get not clicking in my head... :roll:

The obvious start is factor out 5x
5x(2x^2+7x-1)
That is about as far as you can go without using x=(-b+sqrt(b^2-4ac))/2a. I think you should leave it as it is.

x^8+1 factor and simplify?
Another unsatisfying example. You can factor out (x+1) by long or synthetic division and that's all.
