f(x) = e^-[x] + cosx i need to find out whether this function is odd/even/periodic or monotonic. the e is to the power of modulus -x.
I know f(x) = f(-x) for even and -f(x) = f(-x) for odd functions however not sure how to put those values into this function. i also know cosx is an even function and
not sure about e^-[x] e to power of modulus -x
modulus makes everything positive but not sure about how minus sign affects things .
also not sure if it is periodic as cos is a periodic function.
