i do not want a direct answer but any help or direction would be appreciated. this is an online class and i love self teaching but I do not know where to start.

what i think i know

it is shifted to the right 5
it is flipped on the x axis

so to my further understanding:
f(x-5)
-f(x)

how would this be written out

answer

-sqrt(x-5)+4

this is the correct answer however i have to get the kids up in 6 hours so i submitted. If only this site worked as well as stackoverflow.

It is not only shifted to the right 5, it is moved upward 4: f(x- 5)+ 4. And f is "flipped over"- g(x)= -f(x- 5)+ 4.

If only this site worked as well as stackoverflow.
Is some aspect of the interface not functioning correctly for you? Or were you expecting paid staff to be waiting to provide on-demand responses within a few minutes of your first post? (Cuz we volunteers sleep, too. Sorry.) ;)
