Can anyone help me understand how to do this problem?

24x-4y-9z-8 / 18xy-2z-3

I'm getting lost with subtracting two negative numbers and wondering how this answer (which is what is shown in the textbook) can possibly be:

4z11 / 3x5y7

Why is the z11 still with the 4 on the top of the division line?

I'm so confused! Please help!

Is that " -8" correct?

Correction to problem

I apologize - it should not have been a negative 8 in my problem.

\(\displaystyle \dfrac{24x^{-4}y^{-9}z^{8}}{18xy^{-2}z^{-3}}=\frac{24}{18}x^{-4-(1)}y^{-9-(-2)}z^{8-(-3)}\)
