I am having trouble with this question. Biologists have chosen a specific species to populate a small island. They have introduced a number of the species that constitutes 35% of the population that the island is capable of supporting. If the growth rate of the species is 5%, find what percentage of the maximum the particular species population will be on the island in three years.
It says I have to round the final answer to the nearest tenth as needed. Round all intermediate values the nearest thousandth as needed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! :D

Let the max population = M

You want to find a function

\(\displaystyle p(t)=P_0e^{\alpha t}\)

where in this case \(\displaystyle \alpha=0.05 \text{ %growth/year}\)

at t=0 you have \(\displaystyle P_0=0.35M\)

all you need to do is find the value of p(3)

That's what I don't know what to do. I don't know how to find P3
