lim (t4-2)/(2t2-3t+2) as t-->-2
First I tried the Direct Substitute Law and replaced all t's with -2. On the bottom I got 0. This means I need to use another way to find the limit.
Other ways we were told to do
1. Factoring
2. Rationalizing the Numerator
1. I tried factoring but was unable to factor it at all.
2. There is nothing to rationalize.
3. So I graphed it. At -2 the answer was 0.875 or 7/8th. This matches the answer in the book.
However, our teacher never said to use graphing as a way to do this. Is there a way that I missed with Limit Laws or is there a way to factor this?
