Evaluate expression (4/9)^(3/2) (can't do it on paper...?)

The directions say: Evaluate each expression. I have entered this into my calculator and I get the answer (8/27), However when I do this problem on paper I can't get it. I was hoping someone on here could walk me through the problem.

The problem is: (4/9) ^(3/2).

Take the square root, then cube it.

Roy is telling you this:
[4^(1/2)]^3 / [9^(1/2)]^3 = 2^3 / 3^3 ....
Clear?

Take the square root, then cube it.

Or the other way around, if you like.
