Here's a problem that I don't quite get.

Evaluate the function for the given values:

f(x, y) = 3x+2y for f(1,5)

Can anyone help me???
Thanks!

Why are you asking about "graphing", when the exercise says you're supposed to evaluate (that is, plug in the given x- and y-value)? Is there another part to this exercise what wasn't included?

Thank you.

Eliz.

I'm sorry. The other problems that I had, I did have to graph. But this one it just says to evaluate.
Could you help me please?
Thanks =]]

P.S. When I worked it out, i got 13

3(1)+2(5)
3+10
13

But in class, this doesn't seem to be the way it's done.

I can't speak for how it might have been done in your classroom, but evaluation is just plug-n-chug, like you did.
