Euler form of (1+sqrt(3))^3

Well I'm back with complex now...

(1+sqrt(3)*i)^3

Some calculator for complex numbers I found on the web says its 8 cis(-pi) which in Euler form is 8 e^(-pi*i)...

But to me i get 8 e^(pi*i)... who is right after all??

You're both correct.

I get -8 after expanding out, which would be \(\displaystyle 8e^{-{\pi}i}=8e^{{\pi}i}\)
