Hello,
i dont know if this is normal, but i think i "broke the wall". Some days ago i started questioning the origins of math. Why numbers are valid, why do they exist, why every civilization thought about them. I think i'm starting to lose the math intuition i once had since i'm starting to question about things like 2 balls plus 2 balls equals 4 balls. What is 2 and what is 4? Is math just an abstraction of basic units (1) that can be applied to every problem nowadays?
How can we prove that 2+2=4? Is it by thinking that if i have . . and i join with .. i get .... and that is something i called 4 and is composed by 4 dots?
I might be looking stupid, i'm sorry
