Hi, i'm having a bit of a problem thinking of what this question means:

"For each of the following two relations, E and O, on Z (set of all integers) determine whether it is an equivalence relation. Justify your answer."

e - (is part of the set)

i) (x,y) e E if and only if x + y is an even number
ii) (x,y) e O if and only if x + y is an odd number

.........can anyone help?

For part b) \(\displaystyle (1,1) \notin O\). Can it be reflexive?
