Okay lets try this... im havin succcch a mental block tonight

Find the equations of all the tangent lines to the graph of the function...

f(x)= x^2 - 4x + 25 that pass through the origin.

Now here is my prob......
equation of a tangent line is the derivative.... but how do you make it go through the origin.... with the point (0,0)??? the derivative is 2x-4 and that line NEVER reaches the origin... HELP MEEEEE

I think that yor statement is correct and that the problem has been stated in error . Neither the original equation or the dy/dx pass through the origin.

Maybe something else is required like find the line that passes through (0,0) and is tangent to the given equation...............

Otherwise your statements are correct.
