Write and equation of the line that has a x-intercept of 8 that is parallel to the graph of the line x = 3 ?

Which is the equation of the line perpendicular to the line y = -3/2(x) + 1/2 ?

I have no clue how to do either of these! Please help ASAP!

Two mutually PARALLEL lines with slopes m[sub:jtaqz3b3]1[/sub:jtaqz3b3] and m[sub:jtaqz3b3]2[/sub:jtaqz3b3] must have m[sub:jtaqz3b3]1[/sub:jtaqz3b3] = m[sub:jtaqz3b3]2[/sub:jtaqz3b3]

Two mutually PERPENDICULAR lines with slopes m[sub:jtaqz3b3]1[/sub:jtaqz3b3] and m[sub:jtaqz3b3]2[/sub:jtaqz3b3] must have m[sub:jtaqz3b3]1[/sub:jtaqz3b3] * m[sub:jtaqz3b3]2[/sub:jtaqz3b3] = -1
