Find an equation of the sphere with center (5, 2, -1) and radius 1.

________=0

Note that you must move everything to the left hand side of the equation and that we desire the coefficients of the quadratic terms to be 1.

\(\displaystyle (x-x_0)^2 + (y-y_0)^2 + (z-z_0)^2= r^2\)

I'm not an expert, but using the above equation you'd need to just plug in the values of the center (x[sub:4nx4gugw]0[/sub:4nx4gugw],y[sub:4nx4gugw]0[/sub:4nx4gugw],z[sub:4nx4gugw]0[/sub:4nx4gugw]) and the radius. Hopefully someone will verify this-
