Where is the center of the ellipse (x[sub:3bq65w7w]1[/sub:3bq65w7w],y[sub:3bq65w7w]1[/sub:3bq65w7w])?

What is the length of the axis parallel to x-axis(2a)?

What is the length of the axis parallel to y-axis (2b)?

The simple equation of an ellipse is:

(x-x[sub:3bq65w7w]1[/sub:3bq65w7w])[sup:3bq65w7w]2[/sup:3bq65w7w]/a[sup:3bq65w7w]2[/sup:3bq65w7w] + (y-y[sub:3bq65w7w]1[/sub:3bq65w7w])[sup:3bq65w7w]2[/sup:3bq65w7w]/b[sup:3bq65w7w]2[/sup:3bq65w7w] = 1

To learn how to find the ellipse equation from the given information, try here.

Once you have learned the basics, please attempt this exercise. If you get stuck, you will then be able to reply with a clear listing of your work and reasoning so far.

Thank you! :D
