From the verices, you can find the center. And the minor-axis length gives you the value of one of "a" and "b". I think more information is needed (such as a point on the graph) in order to get the complete equation, but you should at least be able to get started.

Ok, I have figured it out. I didn't think to look in my book because it hasn't been used for this chapter, just worksheets and notes .
Now, I need help with something else. How do I figure out the vertices when all I know is that the center is at (2, -1) and that the vertex (2, 0.5). The minor axis length is 2.
